The school I teach at is on winter vacation (01/15 - 02/11). Considering the cost of the airplane ticket back to the states in April, I decided to work for a week during my break at an English camp called ALV (American Language Village) that one of my co-workers referred me to. From what I gathered talking with him, I expected it to be in Taipei County. But it's not. It's actually in southern Taiwan where I'll be for one week (01/20~01/25).



There are two colored spots. The colored spot that is part of the main island is YunLin, where the camp is held. The second, since I happened to spot it on the map, is where Kevin Liu (EBCT) is stationed for his military service: PengHu.

The camp is held at a local junior high school (apparently it's a private catholic school) and the campers attending are the students from that school. There are 652 students total and 30 are expected to be in my class. The teachers are from all over the world. The schedule everyday is super packed from 6:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I suspect that most of the other time will be spent at the hotel we are staying at. It's going to be a new experience so please pray for me!

Joy in working hard for work that the Lord has provided.
Strength and will to serve others to no end and witness through actions.
Reality of eternity to be super clear so I don't miss any opportunities to share.
Spiritual discipline.
