Thanks for your prayers.

The camp is going very smoothly so far for me. We just wrapped up our third day and finished reviewing Thursday's teaching agenda. The teaching style here at camp is really different. Instead of focusing on grammar or writing, 95% is listening or conversation. The goal is to get the kids to become comfortable interacting in English so everything needs to be super upbeat to keep their attention. The crazy thing is that most of the teaching is improvised. They give us a topic, a list of vocab, some props, and we do the rest. So far, the Lord has been sustaining me physically and mentally - I'm feeling more and more energetic as the days wear on! I have plenty of energy to keep on serving the kids and other teachers and the teachers' assistants.

Because of the upbeat nature of the camp, culture shock, and some rather clashing personalities, some of the teachers and TAs haven't been getting along with either each other or their class or the other teachers. Naturally, they're the ones that don't have many people to talk to (it's kind of awkward for the other teachers) so I've been trying to reach out to them especially. I don't know how that has been affecting them personally, but the gestures were enough to cause bystanders to be curious.

I was given the opportunity to share my testimony about coming to Taiwan around a table of a few TAs yesterday night (Taiwanese) including my own. And today at lunch I was able to share a large chunk of the gospel as a response to some questions from my TA who is a professing catholic. All these opportunities have been created by God working in the hearts of those around me who have asked about my life as God has given me the will to work hard.

Please do continue to pray for energy and joy and spiritual discipline.
Pray for more opportunities for the gospel to be made known and received in hearts (of my TA, of the teachers that I interact with, of my students even!)
Pray for a healthy fear of God and for eternity to be super duper clear.

Thanks!

It must be fun to focus more on interaction and converations! So I see that boys and girls are in separate classes! It's very encouraging to hear the ways God is using you in this Camp, and way to show love to those unloved / unlovable! May God keep you stronger and stronger until the end of the camp and that more and more ideas for teaching and opportunities to witness will come to you! May God receive all the glory and praise! (And wow, the school looks REALLY Catholic-y ...even the uniforms) Praying for you!
